Iris Guzmán is an Operations Service Manager from Mexico who is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with accurate insights. When she is not busy providing operations metrics, she’s exploring other cultures and cuisines around the world.

What brought you to Trax?

I have past experience in the field of Logistics- especially in Demand Planning, Procurement and Inventory Management.  I learned that the future of retail is pointing towards a technology-based world, so Trax seemed to be the perfect fit to be part of the transformation in the way we deliver value to the customers.

How does your role contribute to the success of Trax?

As an Operations Service Manager, I am part of Delivery Team. My role consists of working with the Technical Support Team and with other Trax departments to ensure the health of the LIVE projects. My role ensures that we maintain customer satisfaction through accurate results in terms of Operational Metrics, which can be translated into commercial and financial benefits for them. As OSMs we make sure that all internal efforts are aligned and directed to provide the best solutions and insights to the clients so they can make the best business decisions.

What is your favorite memory at Trax?

Last week, we had an integration activity for the LATAM Delivery Team.  Our manager organized a very fun and dynamic game to share things that we like or don’t like, some fun facts about ourselves, and what we dream of for the future.  It was a great experience for the entire team because we could go beyond the daily job communication and really meet the human beings who we share most of our week-time with.

What keeps you engaged at work and in your role?

I definitely enjoy connecting with people from different teams, countries and cultures in order to reach our common goals. Working in a company like Trax allows me to learn something new every day because there is always change happening and everything moves fast.  Because of this, we not only acquire new technical knowledge but we also are able to develop skills to understand and solve the diverse and complex situations that we face in our projects every day.

What do you like to do outside of work? Tell us something about yourself we wouldn’t know from your CV.

I love playing soccer and running. I enjoy traveling to different cities and countries with my boyfriend, and seeing how other people live, think, and eat. But my favorite thing to do is to just spend a great evening with my family, talking about old memories and plans in life. I’m a food lover so if you put down a piece of cheese and a glass of wine, I swear I will not complain!

What does it mean to be a Traxer?

For me, being a Traxer is having the ability to work proactively within a team environment. It’s always thinking about the impact my work has on other people. Being a Traxer is knowing that I am part of the global technological change, and that makes me feel like I am going in the right direction.
