Position Overview
As the Sales Manager for our new Signal Based Merchandising Product, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and adoption of this exciting new offering. You will be responsible for leading sales initiatives, generating new business opportunities, and building relationships with key stakeholders in the retail and CPG sectors. Your focus will be on expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth through the subscription data and retail execution platform.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Drive sales of Trax’s Signal Based Merchandising product by identifying, targeting, and engaging new prospects within the retail and consumer goods industries for Midcap and Enterprise companies.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., c-suite, heads of merchandising, sales, and data analytics) to drive adoption and maximize sales opportunities.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets, aligning with the overall business goals of Trax Retail.
- Solution Selling: Present the Signal Based Merchandising product’s value proposition in a clear and compelling way, articulating the benefits of subscription data and retail execution solutions to solve client pain points.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure a seamless sales process and alignment on product offerings and positioning.
- Market Insights: Stay informed of industry trends, competitive products, and customer feedback to shape the sales approach and contribute to product development strategies.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Manage sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and report regularly on progress towards sales goals and key metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the retail, CPG, or technology sectors, with a strong track record of closing complex deals.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated success in developing new business and driving revenue growth through data-driven solutions or SaaS products. We are looking for an individual selling on average $1M deals and pilots that could lead to this type of subscription contracts.
- Leadership: Ability to lead high-level sales conversations and influence senior stakeholders, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with retail execution, merchandising processes, and data analytics is a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical products into clear, client-friendly messaging. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). Why Join Us?
